Comment: Donor remark: I grew up eating Swedish pea soup since my fathers parents were immigrants to the US. My mother picked up the recipe from my Farmor, and she would buy the peas from som Scandinavian speciality shop in Florida. They came in a cloth bag, and I am pretty sure they were imported from Sweden. She sent me a few back in the 1980s, and I have been growing them ever since. The vines are quite vigorous, and can grow 7-8 fett tall during our long summer days (in Alaska).
